Conference Announcement and Final Call for Papers

ICEE is an annual international conference which explores current research advances in various fields of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The fifth conference will be held at Sharif University of Technology, Department of Electrical Engineering. Major topics of the conference include:


Paper Submission

The program committee invites potential authors to submit original, unpublished, full papers describing their recent work. In full paper submittals describe the nature of research and work, explain its significance, highlight novel features, and contribution to the field of ECE. The names and affiliations of the authors including complete mailing address, e-mail, telephone and fax numbers should appear on the first page of the paper. Other sections of the paper should include keywords, an abstract of 100 words or less, introduction, main body of the text with the necessary subsections and headings, results, conclusions and references. The original and three copies of the papers, not to exceed eight A4 pages, must be submitted no later than Oct. 23, 1996. The conference topic most closely related to the paper, the name of the author presenting the paper and the correspondence address should be specified in the cover letter. For e-mail submittals, only uuencoded postscript files are accepted. The official language of the conference is Persian. However, papers submitted in English will also be considered. For these papers, sessions in English will be organized.

Authors will be notified of the status of their submissions by Jan.21, 1997. The final version of the paper in camera ready form should be received no later than Feb. 20, 1997. For more information, please contact the Program Chairman.


Invited Sessions

To promote an active participation of researchers in the conference, the Program Committee is soliciting proposals for invited sessions, workshops, panel discussions and tutorials. The proposal abstracts giving technical descriptions and names of proposers should be submitted to the Program Chairman no later than Oct. 23, 1996.


Important Dates


Exhibitions & Special Events

Exhibition of products, equipment and software related to the ECE field is planned. Companies and manufacturers are invited to submit proposal for participating in the exhibition. Special events, tours, sightseeing of historical places are also planned for the participants. Further details will be announced at the conference.

Special assistance will be provided for foreign participants through the Iranian Consulate offices. Iranian students aboard also complete special form obtainable from ICEE-97 Secretariat, for their civil service exemptions.

Registration fee includes admission to all regular sessions and exhibitions, a copy of the conference proceedings in the desired area, refreshments, and luncheons during the conference. Payments in cheque, bank draft or money order are accepted. Please make it payable to:
