Hooshyar Naraghi

         Hooshyar Naraghi was born in Abadan and he comes from an oil family. He moved to Tehran in 1967 when his father retired from the Oil Company after 35 years of service.

         He always played soccer and he was bound to do something with sports. He entered the US in late '78. After graduating from San Jose State University, he travelled to Sri Lanka (Ceylon) for work and visited other Southeast Asian countries in 1982/83. He owns his own business and provides consulting services in the areas of database application and worldwide web content development in Silicon Valley.

         Sportestan Homepage: The idea of creating a sports homepage was conceived in October 95 with Ali Zahabi, Hooshyar's colleague and technical partner. Before the homepage went on-line, there had been "sport talk" in the soc.culture.iranian newsgroup - SCI. In fact, SCI started everything with the educated Iranian community.
