Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology(IROST)

The 12th khwarizmi Award will again be held in Iran this year.

The khwarizmi Award has grown to be the leading annual event supporting scientific and research activities.

The aim is to afford recognition to outstanding contributions in the fields such as engineering, agriculture, basic sciences, medical sciences, humanities and etc.

We cordially invite you to participate in the competition by submitting a detailed description of your project work together with sample (if applicable) and your autobiography.

The submitting deadline is 22nd september 1998. Please find the application forms enclosed.

The sunmissions will be evaluated by the steering committee and the winners will be notified by 10th of January 1998.

The top scientists will be awarded. The winners will receive a certificiate, a magnificent plaque and up to US $5000 in each.

The certificate will be awarded by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

A round trip air ticket and accommodation as well as city toure are provided for the winner free of charge.

The selection will be made preliminarily after evaluation by the streeing committee of differenet disciplines composed of specialists of the fields of the projects. THen the proposed projects will be proceed throught the final evaluating board which is formed by eminent scientists for the final decision. The awards recipients will be formed by mail, fax, or email.
