Hello,
Just wanted to thank you all for your generous contribution towards the purchase of the back to school supplies, for the Bosnian Refugee Children. It is so nice to see that people care about these children's school needs. Today at lunch time we spent close to $660 purchasing 24 backpacks, over 100 notebooks, 20 binders, 10 dictionaries, and lots of paper, pencils, pens, rulers ....
Mr. Odabaee from the Catholic Charities in San Jose was telling me today that last year in the rain, some of the children had to use plastic bags to hold their school books ..... well thanks to you ..... that may not happen to some of them this year.
Thanks again &
Best Regards
Mina
Hello,
Last night at Mr. Odabaee's talk in Doreh, "Helping Our Community -
- Hamyari Dar Ghorbat", we noticed it is back to school time for a
lot of Bosnian refugee's and other needy families children. Thus, we
started collecting some money to buy school supplies for these children.
Siamak H. and I are going to be making a trip to Price Club
and other stores to purchase these items before the Labor Day weekend.
If you would like to contribute as well, please respond to this
e-mail with the amount you would like to contribute. You can then
send me a check or pay me when you see me. Any money you can donate
is highly appreciated. As some of you may remember, last year at the
picnic we had a lot of excitement over the gifts that were bought
for the children. I still remember my own excitement as I started each
school year with new notebooks, pens and pencils.
Also do you still have your school backpack in a closet with some
years still left in it? I would be happy to gather what you can donate
and deliver it at the same time.
Best Regards
Mina
