Situation and Access: Region of Gilan. 140 km from Bandar_e Anzali. Astara, 140 km from Bandar_e Anzali, was the scene of renewed activity in 1975 since trade exchanges with previous Soviet Union resumed in order to relieve the overloaded trading post of Jolfa, North of Tabriz. Hundreds of lengths of piping stored at the entrance of the village recall that here the natural gas pipeline from remote Abadan enters Soviet Union previous territory.
